This explains what Forge collects, why, and how you can delete it. Forge is developed and operated by LUX GENUS CORP LTD, trading as Lux.TekPro (102 Acre Street, Denton, Manchester M34 2AL, United Kingdom), contactable at lux.tekpro@luxgenus.com. The app is built to keep as much of your data as possible on your own device.
Your profile, goals, workout history, nutrition log, weight entries, health tracking (medication and cycle logs) and journeys are stored on your device (local app storage). Only the specific pieces described below ever leave it. Backing up or moving your data is something only you can do, using export/import in Settings.
If you allow it, your location powers the weather chip on Home and GPS distance/trail tracking. For weather, your coordinates are sent from your device to Open-Meteo (weather) and BigDataCloud (place name), only to fetch that result. We never receive or store your location. You can revoke location permission at any time in your device settings.
If you connect Health Connect, Forge reads your step data to show inside the app. It is not uploaded by Forge, apart from activity totals that may be included in an AI request you make (see AI features). You can disconnect in your device's Health Connect settings at any time.
Using Friends, Chat, Challenges or the Community feed creates a random "Forge ID" (not your name or email) with an anonymous account in Firebase, a cloud database operated by Google. It stores your display name, online/offline status, a stats snapshot (streak, weekly volume), your friends, followers, block list, challenge progress, chat messages, and a push-notification token so friends' messages can reach you. None of this is linked to your real identity unless you put personal information in your display name.
Posting to the feed is optional. A post's caption and photo are uploaded to our Firebase project with your Forge ID and display name, and are visible to other Forge users. Don't post anything you wouldn't want other users to see. Deleting a post removes it from the feed.
By posting a photo or video (or sending one to us directly, e.g. with a support request), you grant Lux Tek Pro a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free right to use, reproduce and display it, alone or with your display name, to promote Forge and other Lux Tek Pro products. We won't sell it to anyone. Email us and we'll stop using it going forward.
Sindri and Brokkr, Forge's built-in AI, run on Google Gemini through Forge's Firebase project. When you use them, your message and the profile details the answer needs (such as age, gender, height, weight, goal, diet, allergies, training setup and recent activity), plus a meal photo if you use that feature, are sent to Google to generate the reply. We don't store these requests.
If you add your own AI provider key (Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude, OpenAI or OpenRouter), those requests go directly from your device to that provider under its own privacy policy. Your key stays on your device.
The camera is used for barcode and food scanning, and the microphone for voice input. Both are processed on your device; Forge doesn't record or upload them (a meal photo is only sent if you ask the AI to analyse it). Notifications are optional and can be turned off in your device settings.
Connecting any of these is optional and only powers the matching feature (YouTube exercise videos or music playback). The access token and basic profile info are stored only on your device and used only to talk directly to that provider.
Supporter/Trainer/Bundle purchases are handled by Google Play (or the Apple App Store) through RevenueCat, a subscription provider. RevenueCat receives your Forge ID and purchase status so your subscription works across reinstalls, and Forge stores whether your subscription is active. We never see your payment details. If you used a referral or affiliate code, a record of that sale (code, plan, Forge ID) is kept so the referrer can be paid.
Redeeming a gift code only marks that code as used. It isn't linked to any personal information about you.
Forge doesn't show ads, doesn't use analytics or advertising trackers, and doesn't sell or share your data with third parties. The services named above (Google Firebase, Google Gemini, RevenueCat, Open-Meteo, BigDataCloud) only process data to provide Forge's features. All data is encrypted in transit.
On-device data is removed when you uninstall the app or clear its storage. Tapping More → Delete Account in the app permanently and immediately removes your Forge ID's profile, status, stats, friends, followers, block list, chat history, push tokens, feed posts and photos, likes/hypes/reposts and challenge entries from our Firebase project, then clears everything stored on your device.
Two records are kept: reports you filed about other posts (for moderation) and referral sale records (for payouts). Neither contains your name. Subscriptions stay with Google or Apple; cancel them in the Play Store or App Store.
Without the app? Email lux.tekpro@luxgenus.com with your Forge ID (shown in the app) and we'll delete your data within 30 days.
Forge isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under that age.
This policy may be updated as the app changes; the "Last updated" date at the top always reflects the current version.
